The ALGES laboratory has launched the second version of the Diploma in advanced modelling applications in mining and metallurgy in collaboration with the Department of Mining Engineering of the University of Chile. The objective of this programme is to provide mining industry professionals with knowledge and criteria for decision-making in projects involving advanced modelling based on artificial intelligence and learning techniques.

Read MoreThe ALGES team, together with researchers from the CASE centre and the IDS group of the Electrical Engineering Department of the University of Chile, has been awarded a FONDEF Advanced Technologies project. The aim of the project is to develop an operating system that will be a standard in battery management and optimisation. The system called AIBOS will be developed by a multidisciplinary team, which includes a development team and researchers with extensive experience in modelling batteries and those estimating their operating conditions and health. The emphasis of the project is on setting a world standard in battery management.
