Development of Brownfield Exploration Algorithms for Division Gabriela Mistral Exploration Management CODELCO Headquarters
Description
This project consisted of an industrial test of a generative modeling methodology applied to brownfield mining exploration, in which with surface data, geophysical and some drilling, a map of probabilities of exploration targets in the area of interest was drawn. The project was carried out with CODELCO Exploration Management, the methodology proved to deliver excellent results, which were published in the company’s 2019 annual report. Part of the methodology was incorporated into a software application that CODELCO then developed and is currently transferred to Empresa de Exploraciones EMSA, a subsidiary of CODELCO.
